PBIS Goal of the Week!

Be Respectful: Here at Howard Cattle our students are Responsible, Respectful, and Safe. Mrs. King's expectation is that we are respectful of all students, teachers and staff at all times. Making friends is easy when you are respectful to others.

Breakfast and Lunch

Did you know that FREE breakfast is available to our students from 7:10 am - 7:40 am on all school days? Having breakfast at school ensures students get a good breakfast and will be on time to school.

Students can eat lunch from the cafeteria or bring their own lunch from school. We discourage outside lunch dropped off so please note that if lunch is dropped off for a student, he/she will eat in the office.

Reminders about Drop off and Pick up

A reminder that the first bell rings at 7:40 a.m.

There is a warning bell at 7:47 a.m.

The gates close at 7:50 a.m. Teachers have gate duty so they will close the gate promptly at 7:50 a.m. so that they may attend to their classrooms on time.

Students who arrive after 7:50 a.m. must be signed in to the office by an adult. This ensures the safety of all students.

School is out at 2:30 p.m.

Around 2:40 we will bring all students into the office and adults who are picking up students will need to come into the office with a valid ID to sign their student out.

Please be mindful of the traffic.

If you are dropping off or picking up either on Clover St. or through the parking lot on Cypress Ave., please pull all the way forward for dropping off and picking up, this makes the line go faster.

Parking Lot

Please do not

- leave your car unattended in the pick up and drop off line

- make a left turn out of the parking lot

- park in handicap spots without a handicap placard

- park in a non-parking space

All of these can result in a citation.

Cell phone/Electronic Policy

CELL PHONES, SMART WATCHES, ELECTRONICS –

All students have access to Chromebooks in all of our classrooms. Students should only use electronic devices under the direct supervision of the teacher, so there is no need for students to bring their own devices from home. This includes cell phones, smart watches, iPads, and tablets. It is recommended that all electronics be left at home and not brought to school. If a student brings electronics to school, they must be off and put away once they arrive on campus. Privacy rights must not be violated. Cell phones can be brought to school if they are turned off and left in the student’s backpack until after school.

Attendance

Please make every effort to ensure that your child is here at school, every day and on time.

The top two classrooms with the best attendance each month will receive the Iron Man Trophy for the month and ice cream from PFA!
